Blessed

Yesterday morning, I joyfully edited a newsletter about the developments of a crucial ministry (here’s the link ).

It was good.

At lunch time yesterday, I knelt down at a desk and read to three first graders after serving them squares of Pizza Oven pepperoni pie and filling their cups with some sort of fruity concoction from a gallon jug. I read to Breanna and Wayne and Gunner about J.P.-the-bunny’s camping trip and Biscuit-the-dog sneaking into his human’s school and about Katie-the-pig who has a very healthy self-esteem and finally just to Wayne (both of us sitting pretzel-style on the floor) about the list of a million mean things to say to someone by Bill Cosby.

It was good.

Last night, I enjoyed an evening with Mike and Brad and Susanne and it was good to catch up and relax and rest and laugh and be in community with each other.

It was good.

During these past few days, I have been reminded many times how blessed I am to have such incredible people in my life, who empathize with me and who laugh with me and who cry with me and who drink coffee with me and who remind me that even though life just stinks sometimes, that they are right beside me.

And it has been amazing.

Thanks, guys. I love you, too!

Amazing how good friends and good conversation can make life so much easier to handle. I'm convinced there has to be a coffee shop in heaven because if not, where would we all meet to just chat?
